Course Requirements

Participation and Format:

 

1. No prior training required (entry-level friendly).

2. Complete all 6 online micro-sessions (35-40 minutes each).

3. Participate in role plays, reflection exercises, and adaptability drill

4. Submit written reflections or responses for supervisor evaluation

5. Complete Pre-Test and Post-Test evaluations.

Assessment:  

 

1. Pass the Post-Test with at least 75% .

2. Achieve a Pass Mark in role-play performance using a 9-scale adaptability rubric.

Course Description

This 4-hour training on Waste Management & Reduction in Hospitality expands on the 2H module with practical case studies, extended role-plays, and supervisor-led workshops. It trains line staff and first-line supervisors to actively reduce food, packaging, and operational waste, promote recycling, and foster a culture of sustainability in hospitality operations.

Course Outcomes

Upon completion of the course, the participants should be able to:

1.     Apply waste management practices in realistic hospitality scenarios.

2.     Participate in extended role-plays on recycling and food waste reduction.

3.     Recognize real waste management challenges in hospitality operations.

4.     Understand how daily practices reduce costs and improve guest perception.

5.     Promote proactive behaviors for sustainability in daily tasks.
